DescriptionNag is an open source, platform-independent and free web-based application, a plugin for the powerful Horde Groupware suite, built upon the Horde Application Framework and designed to provide a simple, easy-to-use and clean web-based interface for managing online task lists.
Provides strong integration with other Horde Groupware applicationsNag is engineered in such a way that it provides strong integration with other Horde Groupware applications and offers shared task lists. It allows users to store to-do items, things that you need to do sometime this week, month or year. The Nag Horde tasks list application can be easily installed through the PEAR based installation method (detailed in the next section).
Getting started with NagBefore attempting to install the Nag software on your infrastructure, it is very important to know and install its runtime dependencies. Nag requires a working Horde installation, a configured Kolab server or a PHP installation with support for SQL. Please note that Nag works only with Hoder 5.0 or above.
As mentioned, you will use the PEAR installer to install Nag, so make sure that you have a working PEAR installation. If in doubt, do read the PEAR installation instructions http://www.horde.org/apps/horde/docs/INSTALL. Then, run the ‘pear install -a -B horde/nag’ command to install Nag with all optional dependencies.
Alternatively, it is possible to install Nag only with the required dependencies by running the ‘pear install horde/nag’ command, or with all binary dependencies by running the ‘pear install -a horde/nag’ command.
First time configurationAfter installation, Nag must be properly configured in order to work, so make sure that you read the comprehensive documentation provided by the Horde developers at http://www.horde.org/apps/nag/docs/INSTALL#configuring-nag. More details can be found on the project’s homepage (see link below).
